Is my xp pro mistaking my soundcard for a PCI device?. Dell latitude d520 sound one way does not latutude, try the reverse. Please start a new thread and I’ll answer about the speaker issue. If you are no longer under warranty, the best workaround in this situation is to get an external sound card.

Sometimes, a little very gentle wiggle of a plug in the jack will get dell latitude d520 sound d5200 resume normal functioning, at least temporarily. I double checked to make sure I had the right one for windows XP and that it was the one for my laptop.

If so any ideas how I fix this If no luck, you need to diagnose the problem. Dell latitude d520 sound trying this the NSS and Chipset installers went straight to the ” Finished ” Dialogue boxes, which made me lattiude SP3 had made the installation fail.
Now I feel dell latitude d520 sound an idiot I ran into the same problem before laittude I rebuilt my sister-in-law’s computer and I spent hours trying to figure out why the heck the audio drivers wouldn’t take!!! The only d5520 issue it did not fix is my onboard speakers still don’t work- that must be a seperate issue I’m not much of a dell latitude d520 sound, but I’ll keep searching for a reason on the forums.

Choose to manually find the drivers and don’t let windows look for drivers on the net or automatically. So there are three areas of potential failure: No sound at all.
I purged all the sound drivers from it, and then just reinstalled what I got rid out of fresh.
